FILM SCREENINGS

AFFIF 2024 will screen between 50 (short & feature narrative, documentary and
animation films) across the 4 day film festival.

All films will be screened at the host venue for the festival, Silverbird Cinema Abuja, and
a Q & A session held for a few select films. AFFIF will also provide virtual access to
some of the films for audiences across the world joining the festival virtually.

IMPACT LAB

AFFIF 2024 will hold a 2-day master classes facilitated by some of Africa’s brightest
filmmakers, to train and mentor upcoming filmmakers who are passionate about
producing films for social change.

Select registered persons will join the Impact Lab physically, while many more who can’t
be physical will access the sessions on the festival YouTube channel (FFIF TV)

PANEL DISCUSSIONS

Panel discussions at AFFIF will explore and try to proffer lasting solutions to a number of Social and Human Right issues in the continent, as well as confronting the challenges of creating films for social change. Social themes will include: Democracy, Accountability & Anti-Corruption, Human Rights, Human Trafficking, Gender Equity, Sexual & Gender Based Violence, Climate Change, Peace-Security and Counter Terrorism, Digital Rights, Technology as a tool for social change, among others.

THE PITCH

The PITCH is a segment of AFFIF where select filmmakers are presented with an
opportunity to Pitch their great social impact film Ideas to social development Funders,
Donors, and stakeholders, with a view to securing mentorship, grants, funding, or other
forms of partnership.

Only select persons, chosen through a rigorous screening process, can access this
opportunity.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

AFFIF is Africa’s front-line film-festival which has been designed to service filmmakers
that are committed to making films that will change society for good.

For the 2024 edition, AFFIF is organizing social activities will provide an enriching
opportunity and platform for socially conscious filmmakers, as well as industry and
social change stakeholders to network, interact, make deals, and have fun. Such
activities include:

• Daily networking sessions
• Cocktails
• An Award Ceremony

IMPACT AWARDS & PRIZES

The 2024 Africa Film For Impact Festival will climax with an Impact Award Ceremony,
which will premiere the closing film for the festival, and also host a number of other
entertaining and impact performances including Music, Comedy, Poetry/Spoken Word,
and the Impact Awards.
